Build Meetings

Students in a classroom working on robotics and engineering projects with a large screen displaying a 3D model of a robot or machine part.

Think of "Build Meetings" as the robotics team equivalent of practices. These are our teams' opportunities to work together to set goals, work toward them, and prepare for the competitions. Additional build meetings may be needed for certain sub-teams as the season rolls on. All changes and adjustments will be communicated in advance via Slack.

Standing Build Meetings Mondays and Thursdays, 5:00–7:00 PM Multipurpose Room A @ MHS

Additional Reminders:

  1. Once the season begins, all communication will move to Slack. Please make sure you’ve activated your account.

  2. The pay‑to‑play fee for this season is $125. Payment is available through eFunds. If the cost is a challenge, just let us know. If you have trouble locating the fee in eFunds, please contact the Muir front office.

Get Involved

Make this season the best it can be by becoming a volunteer. We are looking for helpers to pitch in with fundraising, sponsorships, competition setup, and more! Contact the coaches or Amanda Freeman on Slack to lend a hand.

State Competitions

If we qualify, we will do one of these.

NW States - Location TBD
December 11-12 or 12-13, 2026

SE States - Parker Middle School Howell
December 12-13, 2026

*Qualifier/League Tournament events are one day, usually 7am-6pm. There is often an optional timeframe available to teams for early load-in/inspections the evening before the event day. State Competitions are typically two days. More information to be announced as it becomes available.

Expectations

Come to the meetings prepared to put in effort.
Do not distract teammates from completing tasks. Communicate with coaches and mentors about schedule changes.
Team members are expected to treat every other team member with respect.
Every team member must do their share.
When tasks are completed, team members should seek new ones.
Students are expected to perform their assigned duties and remain with the team throughout competitions.
Use the buddy system.
Do NOT leave your buddy alone. Be sure to let coaches or mentors know where you are going.

Participant Fees are to be submitted in the district eFunds portal.
